Picnics are more popular now since it is the perfect way to social distance while getting some fresh air. Houston summers can be harsh, but with the right timing, the weather can be nice during your picnic. Here’s how I recently brought out my event planning skills and planned a picnic date for my cousin and her boyfriend that turned out so dreamy!
1. Choose a color scheme or theme for your picnic.
In this case, we wanted it to be romantic colors like pink, white and black.
2. Choose a Houston park, date & time.
We chose Eleanor Tinsley Park for the skyline view of downtown Houston on a Friday evening at Sunset so that it wouldn’t be as hot and when most people typically leave the park. You can also choose another park from my list of Houston parks to visit.
Note: There is metered parking at this location on Allen Parkway.
3. Select vendors & purchase any products necessary.
Some items we already had and others we purchased like the most beautiful charcuterie box from a Houston local vendor, Bliss Box & Boards and the delicious dinner from one of Houston’s top Italian restaurants, Coltivare in the Heights.
Down below I have listed the items purchased or some that are similar to recreate this picnic look – enjoy!
